NEPA Wine Country

On Saturday, July 18, 2009, more than 400 people flocked to the American Legion Post 510 (on historic Route 6 between Meshoppen & Laceyville, PA) to attend the very first Black Walnut Wine Fest. Held in the Bingo Hall and on the grounds of the Legion, this exciting one-day event -- designed to replace the American Legion's popular annual Cow Pie Bingo event -- featured 10 Pennsylvania wineries, food stands, live entertainment all day, and a wide assortment of locally-produced specialty foods, handcrafted items, art, jewelry, and more. A portion of the Wine Fest's proceeds went to support the American Legion's important community projects.
