From NEPA to Upstate
We're expanding! In response to numerous requests, NEPA Wine Country will become bi-state-al in 2012. Watch closely as – over the winter – we embrace a little PA and a little NY and emerge as the larger, border-straddling Upstate Wine Country!
Whether you're attending one or more of our world-class festivals or using our website and/or Xplore Guide to discover our region, we promise you'll have fun getting to know NEPA Wine Country (soon to become Upstate Wine Country). Why change the name? Between now and spring 2012, we'll be adding several counties in New York State's Southern Tier and Western Catskills to our existing corner of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). As a result, NEPA Wine Country no longer applies so our name will be changing to Upstate Wine Country.
Right after the beginning of the year, we will announce our 2012 season of 10 to 12 fun wine & beer festivals – about half to take place in the “Upstate Pennsylvania” counties of Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming, and the other half to be held in the “Upstate New York” counties of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Sullivan, and Tioga.
